Welcome to my Adventures

I have always loved to travel and see a little bit more of the world. The planning, the anticipation, the unknown, all of it.  My parents made travel a priority and  that definitely rubbed off on me 🙂 We would take 2 week long road trips driving down to the beach in South Carolina and making a few different stops along the way.  I don’t know how my parents did it with two kids fighting in the backseat, but they did, every summer.  The whole trip there we would constantly be asking “Are we at the beach?” and as soon as we arrived, we lived in the water.  I remember my younger brother being so excited at one of our gas station stops he pulled out his sand pail and shovel ready to play in the sand piled up by the curb. We would take various other trips, but the summer road trip was always the big one. One of my favorite destinations still is the beach.

As an adult I have loved expanding my travel horizons.  I took a European history tour in high school visiting Italy, France, and England.  In college I studied abroad in Verona, Italy.  During my semester abroad I took advantage of the location and traveled as much as I could.  I visited Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, England, Ireland, Belgium, the Czech Republic, as well as many different cities throughtout Italy.  Through these trips I was able to see so much culture and history, and it only increased my desire to travel more. Beyond international travel, I love getting to visit new states and areas in the US.  From the bright lights of Vegas to the picturesque gorges in Ithaca to the Alamo in San Antonio and the beautiful beaches of Kona, I love getting to see each new city and what makes it special. And I must admit, I do love my theme parks as well. Memories of family trips to Walt Disney World make a trip there full of nostalgia, and of course, pixie dust 😛 And recently I have gotten sucked into Universal Orlando through the allure of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  I absolutely love the Harry Potter books and to be able to fully immerse myself in the wizarding world is heaven.  There are so many places I still want to see, so many things to explore and I hope to chronicle much of that here.

Hope you enjoy the travel fun! And I do have the cutest dog ever, so I may throw in some posts about him (or other fun everyday things) on occasion! 🙂
